The iPad wreckage is just the latest.
It does not matter who the Superintendent is. It does not matter who the School Board members are.
It is just one continual cluster f of the students and the teachers, the parents and our tax dollars!
Surely you remember:
The Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools that cost more than 1/2 billion dollars;
The Belmont Learning Complex scandal;
Schools built on oil fields and chemically polluted land;
A superintendent on the board of book publisher who supplies LAUSD;
I could go on endlessly. But, everyone gets the point. To say LAUSD is in shambles is not strong enough.
Change is necessary, yesterday. If they can reorganize high schools they can reorganize the entire district.
If they can use the parent trigger on schools, they can use it on the district.
The time is now. Just let the teachers do it. Everyone has had a chance to change things and look at the results.
Teachers are for the students; the downtowners are for themselves.
