LAUSD is a dictatorship

The downtown bureaucracy, the school board members, and the superintendent command; the principals impart the edicts; the teachers teach; a dictatorship endures.

The out of touch downtown administrators tell the teachers what to teach. And the teachers teach it.

It does not matter if the curriculum is age inappropriate;

It does not matter if the students have not mastered the previous skills;

It does not matter if the skills are taught fast and not for mastery;

It does not matter if there is no time for review or remediation;

This is a dictatorship. The teachers, who are the experts, are never consulted.

If you don’t like this, wait until you see the coming Common Core Standards.
