According to a Dec. 20 post from the Boston Globe, Lauryn Hill has been breathing new life into some of her old gems on her current tour.

Unfortunately, Long Island music fans who were expecting to see Hill shortly after Christmas, are going to have to wait a bit longer than expected.

Hill has postponed her concert that was supposed to be held on Dec. 26 at The Paramount in Huntington, New York, all the way back to Jan. 26, 2014.

The Paramount confirmed the news via social media.

"Please note that Ms. Lauryn Hill will postpone her concert at The Paramount in Huntington, NY from Dec. 26th," The Paramount tweeted.

No official reason was provided for the postponement.

"Please note that Ms. Lauryn Hill will postpone her concert at The Paramount in Huntington, NY from Dec. 26th until Jan. 26th, 2014. Ticket-holders for this show can simply come to the newly scheduled date, with your December 26th tickets for admittance - no exchanges are necessary," said Paramount Director of Marketing Adam Ellis. "If you are unable to attend on the new date and time and would like to refund your tickets, you can do so through your original point of purchase - Ticketmaster or The Paramount Box Office. For questions, please contact The Paramount at 631-673-7300."

By all accounts, Hill's rapping and singing is as sharp as ever. With that said, the extra month of wait time should only help build anticipation for her Long Island appearance.

Tickets for Hill's Jan. 26 Paramount show are still available.
