Hill was recently hit again with another back tax bill from the Internal Revenue Service and several more liens that will cost the former Fugees singer $867,000.

It has only been six months since Hill was released from prison on previous back tax charges. Now the IRS claims that Hill owes for 2005-2011 according to recent tax documents filed.

Lauryn Hill's past struggles with finances and the Internal Revenue Service have been made very public, and in 2013 Hill was convicted of failing to pay $1 million in back taxes.

Hill attempted to fight the government on the issue even after her conviction posting to Tumblr last year that she felt there was some racism, and hatred, involved behind her legal issues

“To me, it is obvious that the accumulation of generational trauma and abuse have created the very behaviors the system tries to punish, by providing no sufficient outlets for the victims of institutional terror,” she claimed. “Clearly, the institution tries to hide its own criminal history at the expense and wholeness of the abused, who ‘acting out’ from years of abuse and mistreatment, reflect the very aggression that they were exposed to.”

Hill reported to the minimum-security Federal Correctional Institution, Danbury on July 8, 2013, to begin serving her sentence and was released on October 4 to begin serving her house arrest sentence.

Today Lauryn Hill is currently on the road for a national tour after the judge allowed her to postpone part of her confinement in order to tour under strict conditions.

It is not know at this time whether Hill will be clearing up this debt, or forced to deal with more legal issues and possibly a return to prison.
