Laurita $340,000 debt: 'RHONJ' star owes major IRS debt

The Jacqueline Laurita $340,000 debt has the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star in a lot of trouble. According to TMZ on March 2, Laurita owed $340,000 in tax debt.

The state of New Jersey filed the tax lien against the "RHONJ" star, saying she owes the major debt, although what years the debt is from remains unknown. If she doesn't pay the money she owes, New Jersey can go after her assets. Jacqueline now adds her name to that of Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice, who are in the middle of bankruptcy claims right now.

With the amount these women are paid, it is surprising to see them unable to pay their bills. However, when watching "Real Housewives of New Jersey," it is also easy to see them possibly living beyond their means. Giudice is the highest paid cast member of the "RHONJ" cast, yet her $500,000 a year is not enough to cover the $11 million in debt she filed bankruptcy for.

The Laurita $340,000 debt adds to the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars troubles. Last year, her husband Chris was sued for $7.8 million when the plaintiffs claimed that he and Jacqueline drained the company he owned of all its funds to live their over-extravagant lifestyle.
