Laurie Holden: 'I am not Andrea, I am an actress that plays Andrea'

It seems that some viewers are confusing the actress Laurie Holden with Andrea, the character she plays on "The Walking Dead." She cleverly explained a few things to fans on Twitter in a light-hearted and amusing way to set the record straight, according to Wet Paint on Jan. 24.

She tweeted,

"One last thing: I am an ACTRESS who plays the role of "Andrea". Laurie Holden is not ANDREA. I know that is groundbreaking news for some..."

She is right about that. While "The Walking Dead" is one of those shows that draws viewers in, it is not real. It is a drama and there is no zombie apocalypse. Atlanta is still operational and free of zombies. While people may be frustrated with her character, Andrea, they certainly should not be upset with Laurie Holden herself.

She also tweeted a few other things she wanted fans to know. She explained that her character had no idea that the Governor was crazy because Andrea does not watch "The Walking Dead." If she did watch "The Walking Dead," then that would mean the zombies did not take over the television stations and that all the actors were immune to turning into one of them. It would also be strange to see the Governor, Rick and other characters sitting in Woodbury or the prison catching up on the show.

Laurie Holden explained that she did not abandon Michonne. In fact, Michonne did not explain anything and they left each other due to a difference of what they wanted. Andrea wanted a life, safety, community, protection and she really wanted her friend to stay.

Oh, and one more thing: Laurie Holden is Team Daryl all the way. She even calls him Normface.

Do you have any thoughts on what Laurie Holden tweeted? Have you been guilty of confusing the character of Andrea with the actress?
