Today, Lauren Kate has announced the title and released the cover for the second book in her new book series, Teardrop, through her website.

The 2nd book is going to be called Waterfall and Kate has described the book as “my darkest, most thrilling, and heart-wrenching [story] yet”.

Along with the title and cover she gave a brief description of the book. It’s not the official description but it does give us an idea of what we can expect in the second book of the series. You can read the description below.

Eureka’s tears have flooded the earth. Now the dark world of Atlantis is rising and Eureka is the only one who can stop it. She travels across the ocean with the gorgeous and mysterious Ander, her best friend Cat, and her family to find Solon, an enigmatic lost Seedbearer who knows how to defeat Atlantis’ rising tyrant, Atlas.

Soon Eureka discovers a dark secret about Ander: Love is his weakness. Any affection he feels toward her causes him to age rapidly, which means she must go forward on her own. Trying to make sense of the flooded world her sorrow has created, Eureka has a soul-crushing revelation upon seeing her reflection in an enchanted pond. If she’s strong enough, she can draw on this knowledge to defeat Atlas—unless her broken heart is just what he needs to fuel his rising kingdom. She has the chance to save the world, but she’ll have to give up everything—even love.

Waterfall can be added to your Goodreads shelf by going here and is expected to be released on October 28th.
