Missing The Hills? Don't be too sad because you can still get your fix of fashion, drama, and friendship by reading Conrad's novels LA Candy, Sweet Little Lies, and recently released 3rd installment of her LA Candy series, Sugar and Spice.
The LA Candy novels follow the story of a girl and her best friend who move to LA and are asked to be in a new reality series that follows their lives, loosely base on Conrad's experience on The Hills. The young adult novels were #1 NY Times best sellers and are a great read to escape the realities of life.
Style Book
Lauren Conrad is known for her classic, easy California style. Her other recently released book Lauren Conrad Style features style advice and includes tips on how to edit and organize your closet, shopping vintage, make-up and hair, and more. The book is written from her point of view and includes her personal experiences. Knowing not everyone can afford a designer budget, she recommends H&M and Forever 21 as great places to purchase tanks and tees (although she warns about the temptation to impulse shop in these places, so hard to resist!). The glossy 230-page book also has photos of Conrad modeling various outfits and makeup.
New Reality Show
While The Hills focused on dating and friendship drama, Conrad's career in fashion at Teen Vogue and People's Revolution served as background. Her career as a fashion designer wasn't mentioned at all. There's been a lot of buzz around her new reality show venture with MTV that will focus on her career and show her behind the scenes as she works on her new contemporary line, Paper Crown. A title for the show has yet to be released but it's sure to be a treat for Hills fans that have missed her. Filming for the show is set to begin this month.
