Tomatoes and onions share the same kind of softness so they must be kept out of the fridge to prevent them from losing flavor and overpowering other foods, and ketchup must be at room temperature until opened.
Finally, bread must be kept in cupboard at all times so bread doesn't get dried out and stale, berries need the fridge, olive & canola oil must be in cupboard, and sesame, peanut, and truffle oils need fridge so they don't go rancid.
