Lauren Conrad dishes facts about New York Fashion Week (Photos)

Lauren Conrad and the team at LaurenConrad.com yesterday released 6 fun historic facts they learned about Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (New York Fashion Week #NYFW).

Fashion Week started in the 1940's here in New York, not Paris, originally called Press Week giving designers a chance show off to journalists their newest Fall and Spring designs.

Fashion Week takes place in New York, London, Milan, and Paris twice a year, but one must be a designer, stylist, buyer, high profile blogger, editor, or journalist to be invited to a runway show lasting 10 minutes.

It appears Lauren may no longer be at Fashion Week as showed last night from LaurenConrad.com with picture of Lauren at a Kohl's photo shoot with her dogs showing up.

But this examiner has returned to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week being witness to Reem Acra's Fall 2013 runway show showcasing designs inspired by Japan.

New York Fashion Week can be summarized in so many words, busy, fast, cold, hard work, rewarding, welcoming, and yes, fun (if a beer's in your hands).
