British singer-songwriter Laura Marling announced today via her website that her fourth studio album, "Once I Was An Eagle," will be released May 27 in the U.K. (May 28 in North America).
The 16-track album is a followup to 2011's "A Creature I Do Not Know." It was recorded at her producer Ethan Johns' (Kings of Leon, Ryan Adams, Vaccines) Three Crows studio in Los Angeles and was engineered by Dom Monks. Ruth de Turberville is featured on cello.
Marling is streaming a new track from the album "Where Can I Go" on Soundcloud.
Marling won the 2011 Brit award for Best British Female and the 2011 NME award for Best Solo Artist. She was again nominated for both awards in 2012.
