Posing in Oatman, with a zillion bikes (Photo: Ken Bingenheimer)
Now in its 28th year, the Laughlin River Run began as a poker run between Laughlin and the old mining town of Oatman. The poker run is still held, on Saturday of the rally, but for most of the bikers who show up, "We don't need no stinkin' poker run!"
Nope. Every day is a day to run out to Oatman. Now a tourist-focused town of bars and shops, the little burg sits on a very cool stretch of original Route 66, which snakes through town about two and one-half lanes wide. Line up motorcycles on either side and fill the center with bikes--and cars!--creeping through and you've got a scene.
Coming and going, in this, the third day of the rally, bikes far outnumber the cars. It's starting to look like a motorcycle rally. Check out the photos in the slideshow below.

That cover photo is awesome! You need to publish it elsewhere. The donkeys are amazing, too.
Gotta be careful of donkeys & horses around scooters the night before we left for a run in South Carolina, a horse chewed off half of the seat on my daughters Silver Wing. She road it all those miles on half a seat and she was pregnant.
Hey dude! Oatman looks like where all the charm is no big tall hotels or casinos.
Every day is the day to ride to Oatman!!
Another great bunch of pictures. Thanks for sharing.
