What’s the Pashto or Dari-Persian phrase for laughing your a** off? Because that is what they are doing in Afghanistan right now, reveling in the New Year’s visit of DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano. I bet they are gushing tears of laughter.
FOX News reports that The Department of Homeland Security has about two dozen officials in Afghanistan, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, Customs and Border Protection officers, and Border Patrol agents. Many are training Afghan security forces to manage their country's borders.
Never, and I mean never in recent memory, has the phrase, “Are you *bleeping* kidding me?” been more aptly applied.
Maybe the Obama administration is just smarter than we think it is. Maybe this is a clever scheme to convince the corrupt Hamid Karzai government to flee Kabul.
Because if Napolitano really is there to tell them how to secure their borders, then they know, without a doubt, that it’s over. And the time has come to pack up the bank account and fly to France where they will be welcome...and barely noticed.
FOX News also reported, “The trip to the border region culminated with a helicopter flight over the Torkham border crossing. (Near the Khyber Pass.) Getting to the crossing by ground was deemed too dangerous.”
"...too dangerous." Sorta like Peck Canyon, AZ, huh?
Maybe she took them some bean bags.
Most of us are not laughing.
I'm sure at least some of our troops in Afghanistan are thinking, "Thanks for sharing and, uh, have a nice day."

Well said here - yes, perhaps Janet Napolitano traveled ON OUR TAX DOLLARS all the way to the Afghanistan in order to promote bean bags as ammo...
Our dangerous U.S. border has not been secured by Napolitano and she has the audacity to travel to Afghanistan pretending to secure that border too?
I would like Napolitano to travel to North Korea, to teach them how to secure their borders against the South Koreans, and to Iran to teach them how to secure their borders against the Iraqis. That would help to overrun two out of our three worst enemies. Now if we could onely find someone who actually wants to infiltrate Somalia.
How can she evaluate the security of another border when ours is so porous? Outrageous.

It's too bad that I can't find the story where Janet Napolitano is downed by an air to ground missle near the Khyber Pass. It would be nice to see the rediculous spread of policing policies from the now DeFacto U.S. government go down in flames. .....getting rid of Napolitano would be a bonus.

Our border with Mexico will NEVER be secured and to even think for one moment that the Afghan border will be secured is ....well I can't say it. Its a joke, has been a joke, and continues to be a joke as we are laughing stocks around the world. Have a good day all.
Thanks for the comment, Andrew. I think we can secure the border, but have lacked the will to do it through successive presidential administrations.
And, it will happen. It is simple arithmetic. Once the body count gets high enough, and the public outraged enough, it will happen.
But, there is going to be a lot of bloodshed before the corrupt officials in Washington do something.
To them this is just the cost of doing business.
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, creator of all things created, He who hung the world on nothing, watch over Napolitano and bless her with some good sense for a change. Change her into a patriotic and Right Wing American citizen. I pray she will see The Light and help save our country. Please save her from all those who think she should be dusted Bless The Governor Of Arizona while you're blessing. And God, please bless The United States of America, a nation under you.
