Latvian model Kristine Drinke successfully established herself as one of the world’s top models at a young age. Over the last few years Kristine’s unique look has been popping up as the face of countless international ad campaigns including Juicy Couture, Tory Burch, Esprit, Saks Fifth Avenue and others.
When it comes to walking the runway Kristine has been hand selected by the world’s most famous designers to show off some of their coveted collections. If Kristine wasn’t on everyone’s model radar prior to Balenciaga selecting her for their Ready To Wear Fall 2012 Show at Paris Fashion Week, then she definitely was after. With a long list of shows for designers including Vivienne Tam, Rachel Comey, Vena Cava, and Rachel Roy already under her belt, it's obvious that Kristine has no qualms owning the runway, but the demand for her as a model does not stop there.
Kristine has an extensive portfolio of high fashion editorials which appear in high-profile magazines including Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, BMM, East West, Stella, Gioia and many more. Two of my favorite editorials of Kristine can be found in Marie Claire and Black Magazine.
The beauty’s multi-page spread in the April 2011 issue of Marie Claire Italia entitled L’Avventura featured her as a sultry vaquera guiding her chestnut horse across a dry riverbed. Depicted in many of the shots wearing a bolo tie, tan leather chaps and a wide brimmed cordoban hat, Kristine manages to brilliantly exude confidence and femininity through the traditionally masculine garb.
Her spread in New Zealand’s Black Magazine’s No. 13 issue opens up with a shot of her looking fierce in a mesh leotard and the words “I’m listening to T-Rex” scattered across the page. Featured in strappy dom-like hosiery and/or fur up to her ears accompanied by lavish jewels, Kristine is the epitome of glamour, power and seduction throughout the spread.
This model has proven time and time again that she has the chameleonic virtues of the world’s most desired models. Kristine’s ability to embody the energy and emotion of whatever collection she is portraying is a skill that puts her at the top of her field. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for this extraordinary beauty during this week’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York!
