Latinos praise Madonna Superbowl

Cheers erupted Sunday at the Phoenix Public Library among Latinos when it was announced that Madonna will be the Superbowl half time performer in a couple months. "Madonna supported Latinos in her songs and videos long before it was the cool thing to do," says Chicanos Unidos Arizona President Cecilia Maldonado."

Madonna was criticized for being a white woman singing a Spanish song (La Isla Bonita) in 1987. Within 5 years, all White artists were singing Spanish songs.  Chicanos Unidos Arizona will be sending two lucky Latino winners to see the Superbowl. Lets hope they can go to Indiana and persuade Madge to sing "La Isla Bonita" for us.
