Latin music sensation, Johnny Polanco will be hosting a fundraiser for legendary flutist Artie Webb who is having medical issues, causing financial hardship for the legend. Johnny Polanco and his band, together with DJ Robby and others will perform. The fundraiser for Artie Webb will be held Sunday Mar. 3, at The Granada in Alhambra, California.
Artie Webb is by far one of the best flute players on the planet, he has played with artist such as Tito Puente, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, and of course Johnny Polanco y su Conjunto Amistad to name a few. To say the least, Artie Webb is pure magic to watch.
Now that Webb needs help, Johnny Polanco and his band step-up and lend a hand. If you are a fan of Latin music you won't want to miss Johnny Polanco y su Conjunto Amistad perform, the band is loaded with pure talent.
Polanco hails from the Bronx, New York by way of Los Angeles, California. He is self taught on guitar, electric bass, tres guitar, violin and various percussion instruments.
The band is made up with some legit talent, Luis Barbaran heads-up lead vocals, Steve Johnson on trombone, Evan Trujillo on trumpet, Artie Webb on the flute, Bobby Escoto on the bongos, Fausto Cuevas on the timbales, Christian Moraga on the congas, Manuel Silvera on the bass, and Fabian Olero on Piano.
