Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transit (HART) sent out the following advisory recently advising motorists and residents of lane closures and openings affecting West Oahu.
HART has temporarily reopened the eastbound lane of Old Farrington Highway in Ewa. Drivers are now able to access the eastbound lane from Kualakai Parkway (North-South Road) and detour along Old Fort Weaver Road near Kahi Mohala to access Farrington Highway into Waipahu. The highway will remain closed to westbound traffic.
Members of the public will be able to access the Aloun Farms pumpkin patch during the next three weekends via Old Farrington Highway and Kualakai Parkway.
Lane closures will take place from Sunday, October 13 to Thursday, October 17 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. along eastbound and westbound lanes of Farrington Highway in Waipahu and Ewa between:
• Old Fort Weaver Road and Paiwa Street
One lane in each direction of Farrington Highway in Waipahu will remain open at all times.
Lane closures will take place along Kamehameha Highway in Aiea on Wednesday, October 16 and Thursday, October 17 between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. between Hekaha Street and Kanuku Street.
Lane closures will take place in the Pearl Harbor and airport areas from Monday, October 14 to Friday, October 18 between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on:
• Kamehameha Highway near Halawa Drive
• Kamehameha Highway near Middle Street
• Kamehameha Highway near H-1 to Nimitz Highway
Lane closures will take place in the Kalihi area from Monday, October 14 to Friday, October 18 between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. westbound on:
• Kamehameha Highway near Nimitz Highway
Motorists should anticipate some possible delays in traffic and proceed with caution through the work areas.
