With the turn of the New Year, developers are checking in with players for what the future holds for their games. Jeff Hickman, BioWare's Executive Producer for "Star Wars: The Old Republic," posted a state of the game address today doing just that.
Aside from touching on the Cartel Market and the game's transition to a free-to-play hybrid payment model, Hickman covered a number of "hot topics" surrounding the game. Level 50s are in store for more Flashpoints, Operations, PvP, and "reasons for guilds to recruit."
The hottest of topics, though, comes toward the end of the state of the game. Same-sex romances are definitely coming to "Star Wars: The Old Republic" soon. The option will debut in the "Rise of the Hutt Cartel" on Makeb, but same-sex companion romance is delayed due to the transition to the free-to-play hybrid model.
Speaking of the game's first expansion, it is well on its way for a Spring release. Buying it before Jan. 7, 2013 lets a player get into its content five days before it is officially released.
