Rob Gets in Some Down Time with Friends While in Australia

Rob did manage to get in some down time while in the Land Down Under on his Breaking Dawn 2 promo tour. It wasn’t all work and no play. The October 25 article in Hollywood Hills reports that Rob had a chance to hang out at some of Australia’s local bars with friends, mostly cast mates from Rover, his new film. According to the DailyTelegraph, Rob was seen hanging out at Hugo’s, the QT Bar, and the Lo-Fi Bar, drinking the Aussie-brewed Coopers, his beer of choice.

Robert Pattinson Expresses His Feelings about Love

The closest Robert Pattinson has come to disclosing his feeling about Kristen Stewart’s affair with Rupert Sanders is in the interview he had in Australia with Mexican magazine 15 a 20. The October 25 article on CelebrityGossip.net reports that Rob was asked if filming Twilight with Kristen has changed the way he feels about love. Rob replied,

You make your decisions, and it depends on the person you fall in love with anyway. . . . I'm still trying to run my life, so there's not much time to reflect. 'I feel like someone just put me in charge of a train that is out of control, and I'm finally learning how to be in charge of it. It's hard to deal and accept what's happened.' We can’t help thinking that this was a reference to Kristen’s cheating scandal.

Rob Hates the Nickname R-Patz and the “Team Edward” Thing

The MonstersandCritics, Belfast Telegraph, and EntertainmentWise of October 25 are reporting that Robert Pattinson positively hates the nickname “ R-Patz” with which he was dubbed several years ago. Rob says he never liked it and joked that he would like to break the hands and mouth of the person who came up with that name.

Rob also admits that he’s annoyed by the phrases “Team Edward” and “Team Jacob” used in conjunction with the rival characters in the Twilight films. He relates it to making the Twilight films “like a sport or something,” creating a strange atmosphere around how the movies are promoted, adding that

“People can't really watch the films anymore because they're thinking about all this other silliness."

Rob Talks about Filming the Sex Scenes in Breaking Dawn 2

In Robert Pattinson’s interview on Australian talk show, Kyle and Jackie O, Rob discussed the difficulty of trying to film a sex scene suitable for a PG-13 audience. CelebDirty Laundry.com of October 24 reports that Rob called the scene ridiculous because they were faced with the challenge of trying to come up with “inventive ways to make something sexy” since instead of a “normal sex scene” it had to depict the “greatest vampire sex ever.” Rob commented that much of the scene will utilize super-tight close-ups on their faces "of ecstasy” – something he said he felt “guy’s faces aren’t designed to do.”
