As you've undoubtedly already heard, Man of Steel 2 will be filming in Metamora Township (north of Detroit) this summer - and the film is now looking for extras.

Extras casting will be April 27th, 11am to 3pm, at the Somerset Inn (2601 W. Big Beaver Rd., Troy), and you must be in line no later than 3pm. The movie is looking for "men and women at least 18-years-old who are clean-cut military and law enforcement types or business executives in suits."

The film was originally scheduled to be released in July 2015, but has now been rescheduled for May 6, 2016. The movie will be spending about $131 million in Michigan and received $35 million of the state's film incentives budget to shoot here.

Casting has requested that participants not show up in costume, and complimentary headshots will be taken at Somerset Inn if needed. You must be able to work in the metro Detroit area, indoors or outside, anytime between June to November 2014.

Children are not allowed at this casting call, but if you would like to submit your children for casting consideration, you may bring a small photo (school photos are OK) to the casting call, for ages 9-15.

Henry Cavill was spotted around Birmingham and the metro area a few months ago, and Ben Affleck and his wife Jennifer Garner will be moving here for the summer as well, so keep your eyes peeled for some celeb sightings.

Good luck!
