We've gotten the word from a Beatle's representative that there's absolutely no truth to the latest Beatles reunion rumor, though we think anyone could have probably guessed that.
Gossip maven Liz Smith has a story today on wowowow.com quoting "several highly placed music sources in Los Angeles" that Paul McCartney has tossed around the idea of a "Beatles re-boot."
According to the rumor, this would be a string of shows for charity featuring the band would comprise him and fellow Beatle Ringo Starr, Zak Starkey (son of Ringo who plays drums), Julian Lennon (son of John by Cynthia Lennon), Sean Lennon (son of John by Yoko Ono), Dhani Harrison (son of George) and maybe even his own son, James.
And, of course, they would play Beatles songs.
From her writeup, she didn't contact any of those involved in the story.
But your Beatles Examiner did. Paul McCartney's representatives told us the story was "pure tabloid speculation!"
If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. And now you know the rest of the story.
