Not sure what to wear tonight to celebrate New Years Eve? If you're broke from all the Christmas presents you bought and can't splurge on a new outfit take a moment and look in your closet. Your perfect New Years Eve outfit is probably hiding in there and you just don't know it. No, we're not talking about the little black dress either. Hang that one up for another occasion and use some of these tips to revamp your old outfit to make it a hit for New Years!
First, check out some of your summer favorites. Love that lacy white dress? Hook it up with some colored tights, boots and a colored blazer for an eye popping combination. Do you own a pair of lace or leather shorts? Wear them! Add some tights and a moto jacket for an edgy yet chic look.
Breathe life into a favorite dress by ditching the neutral or black shoes and instead adding a pair of colorful shoes. Don't be afraid to use contrasting colors either. Pair up the same colored accessories or a stunning statement necklace.
Don't think that office wear has to be only for that. Mix and match your office wear with you weekend play wear for anew and different look. Pair the structured jacket with a pair of skinny jeans. Take those tailored pants and pair them up with a crop top and statement jewelry for an interesting combination.
Speaking of crop tops, this ever versatile piece of your wardrobe can be dressed up and dressed down so take it to the New Years Eve level and pair a crop top with a long flowing maxi or A line skirt for an unconventional yet totally worth it look.
When in doubt or in a hurry, remember your accessories. Accessories are a great way to breathe new life into a new outfit and not just by wearing a necklace or earrings. Think colored tights versus basic black, a bold scarf in lieu of a necklace or belt and bright bold shoes can make a huge difference and make you the star of the party!
