Great news! This weekend is the last weekend to see the musical parody 50 Shades based off of the very popular book series 50 shades of grey by E.L. James, a British Author. The book has been the butt of jokes on Ellen and on every major and minor talk show. Its about the sexual relationship of a college student and an entrepreneur. They explore a variety of sexual acts in the relationship.
The musical adaption is set around a book club that decides to read the book. The musical has 11 original songs and a live band. This is not a performance for those under 50, but, if you are 18 you probably read the series by now. Fifty Shades the musical is a comedic performance. If you just looked at the performance alone, the actors are spectacular. Now, if you are not in to sadistic acts, you may take a pass unless one of the performers is a relative, then you have an excuse.
Chicago theater is great because no matter the subject matter, the performance is always spectacular. Broadway in Chicago theater at the Water Tower is located at 175 East Chestnut, Chicago, Illinois 60611, tickets prices for 50 Shades is $29-$49, but last look showed remaining tickets at about $66. Last performance Sunday October 27 at 6:30 p.m.
