Summer Palace, Beijing: Every day, more than 100,000 visitors came to this park to see an ugly “Giant Yellow Duck”.
Train Station, Hefei City: On October 6th, 93,000 travelers got on the train from this station.
Great Wall, Beijing: In 6 days 356,600 tourists climbed the Great Wall and left 109 tons of garbage behind. All garbage was manually collected and carried down the hills by the janitors.
Dameisha Beach, Shenzhen: On October 2nd, nearly 100,000 locals and tourists swam or tried to swim at the beach.
London, England: Many Chinese took the opportunity for luxury shopping sprees overseas. On average, every Chinese tourist spent 8,000 pounds on expensive handbags, shoes, and watches. To better serve the Chinese customers, the Harrods and the Selfridges hired 100 and 40 translators, respectively. By the Way, both stores now accept Chinese credit cards and the cashiers were instructed to take the cards with both hands, per Chinese customs.
