This year, the Children's Theatre of Charlotte presented entertaining shows for families with children of all ages. From mice to Beasts to Shakespeare, there has been something for everyone. The final show of the 2009-2010 season will run from April 23-May 2 and it is called “The Commedia King Arthur.”
"The Commedia King Arthur" is a humorous look at the legendary Kind Arthur before he became so famous. Specifically, when squire Arthur forgets his master’s sword, he needs to find a a new one quick to keep his squire job. Can you guess the sword he finds? Perhaps it is stuck in a stone? The Children's Theatre comments that the "production features many well-known Arthurian tales, making it a perfect introduction to an English classic."
Of note, this production is meant to be funny and has much slapstick comedy to keep children of all ages engaged. “The Commedia King Arthur” is directed by Tarradiddle Manager and former Tarradiddle Player Steven Ivey and stars the 2009-2010 Tarradiddle Players company: Salvador Garcia, Leslie Ann Giles, Darlene Parker and Stephen Seay.
