Things are starting to get very tense on the island. Sam is trying to stall Prosser and his team, and Marcus is trying to figure out the best course of action in light of his phone call with Admiral Shepard. Of course the Chinese are still there making things even more complicated. Seeing as how there is a lot going on, the ambassador and his comments get pushed to the side. There is a lot of mystery surrounding him, and then the conversation he has with Marcus about minerals doesn’t help Marcus’ cause either. What do you think China’s move will be in the final episode?
What’s a little confusing is all the alliances. Marcus seems to have a man on the inside with Prosser. Sam is almost playing both sides, and he also has James ready to take people like Prosser out if anything happens to him or Marcus. James is telling Grace to be ready to lead, and she is still trying to figure out the best place to swear her allegiance too. There is a lot going on, and it is very hard to follow, mostly because everyone is playing multiple sides. Nothing is black or white in this situation, but it would be nicer to have a firmer idea of where everyone stands. Where do you think everyone’s true allegiances are?
For some reason, things are not going well back in the US. The plan is falling apart. For parts of it, it is hard to tell exactly what went wrong. It’s not easy to remember everyone’s names, and so when another character just mentions the name of someone who had died or gone missing, it’s hard to grasp some of the significance. Mystery surrounds the reasoning behind the speaker killing himself, and considering there is only one episode left, it is hard to picture the writers being able to fully explain all the factions working in the US while they are also trying to solve the issues on the island. What are your theories as to what is happening back in Washington?
