It's not too late to plan a romantic getaway for Valentine's Day. Everyone in Atlanta could use a bit of a vacation after the great Snowpacolypse of January, but most people probably aren't eager to spend too long in their cars. There are plenty of quick getaways that can give you the time you need to yourselves without breaking your budget for the month. Consider one of these artsy day trips when planning your celebration:

* Asheville, North Carolina: Just a couple of hours away from Atlanta, Asheville is a picturesque little mountain town with a thriving arts community. You can go for a hike through the woods, checking out waterfalls and getting your blood flowing, or you can just stroll through the galleries. Either way, just turn off your cell phones and enjoy the time alone together.

* Chattanooga, Tennessee: Chattanooga is known as a family getaway spot, with the famous aquarium and the nearby Ruby Falls. However, it also is great as an adult adventure, with a charming artistic community located up on the hill. There is an outdoor sculpture garden, a gallery featuring work of local artists, an impressive large museum, and a lovely bed and breakfast, all within a few blocks from each other.

* Savannah, Georgia: Savannah is easily Georgia's most romantic town. With the seemingly endless display of carefully laid out town squares, the shops and restaurants perched alongside the water, and a truly gothic history (including rumors of several undead residents in the more famous houses), Savannah has a beautiful allure all her own.
