Here is a list of other items you could give

Court socks - Vitalsox sells a sock for tennis players made with an elasticized arch band ensuring support. The sock, made for your foot size, is said to help eliminate blisters. Its fabric promises to keep skin dry with wick-away fiber. Average price $12.

Second Skin Blister Pads – Most tennis players have suffered from blisters during a match. It can be tough to focus on stroke execution when your dominate hand sports a blister. Solution? Pack a box of Second Skin Blister Pads in your bag. A soft hydrocolloid pad and ultrathin adhesive film stays in place up to 5 days. Average price $11.

Ear covers or ear warmers – now available in bandless styles, tennis players can cover their ears and not have to worry about the traditional pair of ear muffs flying off while running toward the net for a winner. Average price $12.

Medical kit – Accidents happen. If your gift recipient plays USTA tennis, rules are in place regarding medical time outs as well as how much time a player can leave the court to get medical supplies. Don’t let a headache, minor cut or abrasion halt your match, pack a medical kit equipped with bandages, OTC pain relievers, sun block and lip block, antiseptic wipes, antibacterial ointment, etc. Average price – varies on contents.

Tennis balls – With the youth size-appropriate courts, make sure you purchase balls right for your recipient’s age: red – for 8yrs. Old and under; orange – for 10yrs old and under; green dot- for 12 yrs old and under; yellow – for 13 yrs. And up. Average price $3.50 a can.

Gift Cards - "When in doubt," says Dan Kester. of IPlayTennisAtlanta, "purchase gift cards so tennis players can pick out the items they want."
