Happy Valentine's Day! Hope that it will be a day for you to give and receive hugs and kisses from all those in your life that are special! If you still haven't come up with a chocolate treat to give to that special person, there's still time to do that. And if you want it to be extra special, invite that special person into the kitchen with you to prepare it.
With today being the big day, you will want to make something that can go together in short order. In today's column, I'm passing along two recipes for chocolate treats that are fast and easy. The first one is a childhood favorite among many, which is "Twenty-Minute Cookies". This cookies take only about that long to make, from start to finish. It's also an economical recipe, since you'll most likely already have the ingredients handy. It also combines the two classic flavors, chocolate and peanut butter. With all these factors in your favor, it's a near-perfect sweet treat!
If you enjoy ice cream, you'll enjoy "Hot Fudge Sauce" which is made fast and simply, too. Serve this one hot or warm over ice cream or cake. It also makes a great chocolate milk shake when combined with ice cream and some milk in a blender. It also would work with making chocolate milk or hot chocolate. A very versatile recipe, not to mention delicious!
Enjoy this Valentine's Day and if you need some sweet treats fast, here's two suggestions!
