This review and recommendation is about Last Hope. It is by Michael Dignan and Kriss Sison. It is release by Seven Seas Manga.
Last Hope starts with Hiro leaving his dimension to get away from his uncle who just killed his parents and is trying to kill him to get the family throne. It sounds like its Hamlet meets Sci-Fi meets Manga, doesn’t it? The next chapter takes place in our dimension with two girls named Ikuko and Colleen. They are on their way to class. Ikuko is going to class a little earlier to try to talk to a boy she has a crush on, which just so happens to be Hiro. They invite him for coffee after school as well as a boy named Alvin. At the coffee date, Hiro tells them his secret. After that all hell breaks loose, because his uncle finally catches up with him. What happens next? You’ll have to read to find out!
This series is recommended for teens and up. It is another American manga done in the traditional Japanese format. It is drawn very well and has an even better storyline. Its more shounen, but is a bit shoujo. Its your basic crossover. So basically both boys and girls will enjoy this.
If you live in the Colorado Springs area, you can find this series at your local PPLD branch. Happy Reading!
