Yakima is the perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts to live. It's just a short drive from rivers and lakes for boating, mountains for camping and hiking, and lots of areas for hunting and fishing. So what better place to host the Central Washington Sportsman Show then right here at our local Yakima SunDome? If you haven't checked it out yet, today is your last chance! Basic details:
- Where: Yakima SunDome, 1301 S Fair Ave, Yakima, WA 98901.
- What: Fun for the whole family! There are tons of fun activities for kids, seminars and demonstrations for adults, and even great prizes to win all day.
- How much: Adults, $9. Kids, 6-12 $4.50. Kids under 6, free. And today is "Family Day," with 2 adults and 2 kids (6-12) get admission for only $20 totaly. And - parking is FREE all weekend! How often does that happen?
- When: Today's show hours are 10am - 5pm.
What you'll find today:
All of the great booths and exhibits that have been at the show all weekend will still be there, and there are fishing and hunting seminars all day long. You can also check out the displays of the latest boats, ATV's, and camp trailers, and the Eastmans Trophy Deer Display. There are also door prizes given away all day, so be sure to register when you arrive.
Just for kids:
There are a ton of really fun things lined up to entertain the kids too. You can check out The Great Bear Show, with five live bears, which is sure to impress any age. Today, the show's are at 1:30 and 4:30. There's also the indoor fishing pond where little outdoorsy types can try out a rod and attempt to catch a fish. And make sure to pick up a Cabela's Young Sportsman's Journal by the front entrance; kids can use it to do a scavenger hunt through the SunDome, and get a prize when they finish.
