Last Day of Just For Laughs Montreal 2010

At the entrance to the Quartier des Spectacles sat a giant replica of Charlie Chaplin, one of the world’s most iconic comedians. He was a fitting image to welcome visitors to the site that offered free activities for the Just For Laughs Festival’s Street Arts.

The 27th Just For Laughs Festival wrapped up with the last day of it’s Street Arts activities and performances in the Quartier des Spectacles on July 25th. The festival started on July 2nd and featured some of comedy’s biggest names, including from Steve Martin and Margaret Cho. Though famous for it’s ticket shows and galas, the festival’s free Street Arts portion also had great offerings. A carnival-like atmosphere took over the Quartier des Spectacles starting July 17th -25th with characters in costumes, roving performers, buskers everywhere and something to do every few steps. It was the place to be.
