This Thursday, come hungry to the Night Market in Chinatown to experience the street food of Philadelphia in one of the liveliest atmospheres in the city. Located at 10th and Race St. from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., over 80 vendors will be selling their edible wares among music, art, drink, entertainment and, in the theme of the location, dragons.
While the highlight of the food fest is always the delicious grub, this year two lucky winners will be crowned King and Queen of the Market just for donating to the Food Trust, the organizational brains behind the Night Market. The lucky royals will win free food, direct access to the front of any line and bragging rights, naturally. Donate and enter here now, because the contest ends October 1st at noon.
The Night Market began in 2010 and has held over ten event during only the warm weather seasons since. Working alongside many of the district organizations in the city, the location varies every market but the quality stays the same. The best of the Philadelphia food scene can always be found at the widely-acclaimed events, as well as glimpses into the vibrant and colorful culture of the city and many cultures that the food vendors originate from.
Please visit the website for further information and a list of the vendors participating, posted the day of the event.
