The Halloween Dracula Tour is scheduled of October 27 through November 3, 2014. There are still a few openings for travelers seeking a special Halloween excursion. The tour currently has a solo male traveler needing a roommate for this trip. If you want to join with other vampire and horror enthusiast on a travel adventure of a lifetime to Transylvania, here is your opportunity!

It is now “last call” for those wishing to take the journey though the Romanian countryside following in the footsteps of Bram Stoker’s novel, “Dracula.” The tour will visit Snagov Island where a secluded monastery contains Vlad Tepes’ coffin. There will be a visit to Vlad’s birthplace in the best preserved medieval town in Europe called Sighisoara. The group will venture into a haunted graveyard and take part in a re-creation of a witch trail. They will climb the historic Clock Tower above the Torture Chamber and torture museum.

The tour visits the historic ruins of Vlad’s Poenari Castle, the true Castle Dracula which is as breathtaking as the famed Bran Castle—also on the itinerary. There will also be a visit to Sibiu to see the massive Evangelical Church built in 1300 containing the burial vaults in its crypt connected to both Dracula and the legend of Frankenstein.

You will ascend up Borgo Pass and into the Carpathian Mountains to follow the path of Jonathan Harker, the character described in the Dracula novel. One of the highlights of the trip will be the gala annual Halloween masquerade ball in Dracula’s Castle nestled in the dungeon room of the castle in Piatra Fantanele atop the Romanian Alps. The costume party is preceded by an outdoor bonfire and traditional music of the local gypsy musicians, followed by a multi course meal, and dancing in to the early morning hours.

“Dracula Tour” is the only fully escorted, professionally guided vacation organized by fans for fans. This trip is open to all ages, and welcomes, couples, families, and solo travelers. There is both educational and entertainment value for anyone looking for an off the wall week long getaway. Your seat is waiting for you!
