Update 6/28/14: Trixie is safe and has left the facility!
A gorgeous, two-year-old pit bull mix named "Trixie," has reached the end of her time at the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif.
Trixie arrived to the facility as a stray back on May 12 - during the weeks that followed, her owner did not come to the shelter to claim her and nobody has offered to provide her with a new home. According to shelter volunteers, Trixie is an affectionate, playful dog with an incredibly sweet disposition - she is said to do well with people, and other dogs.
Despite the glowing comments and observations, this beautiful dog is out of time - in fact, today may be Trixie's last day. On the Facebook page where her information is posted, the following comments are posted:
Say goodbye to "TRIXIE"---We are going to lose her...
Baldwin park shelter, California: ID# A4708323
Per shelter, she must exit today. No extensions. SHE SCORED 24 OUT OF 25 ON TEMP TEST.
Please share Trixie's information to help increase her visibility, before her time runs out.
