Maybe you’re a polo aficionado or maybe you only know the sport from magazine cover photos of Princes William and Harry. Whatever your level of polo prowess, the Sacramento SPCA is bringing a unique fundraiser experience to our area that you won’t want to miss. Get out your fancy hats and find some good divot stomping shoes for the Second Annual Lasher Polo Classic to be held September 14th, 2013.
This all day event will be held at the Chamberlain Ranch (9620 Consumnes Road, Wilton, CA, 95693). Features will include equestrian demonstrations, the champagne divot stomp, a silent auction, food and wine tastings, a hat parade, shops, live music, and, of course, the exhibition polo match. Shop vendors will be Girl Glass, Artemis Boots, Material Goods, Haus, Hoppy Brewery, David Wente Winery, Starbucks, Emma’s Tamales, Icing on the Cupcake, Terra d’Oro Winery, Logan’s Roadhouse and Whole Foods.
If a day of food and wine tasting, shopping, impressive demonstrations of equestrian feats and an atmosphere of general merriment sounds up your alley, you’ll want to be sure to purchase your tickets in advance. Royal Club and VIP tickets are sold out (you can email firstname.lastname@example.org to be put on the waiting list). Lawn tickets are available for $50 and include the champagne divot stomp, complimentary sparkling wine and food tastings throughout the event and your own blanket or chair. You can upgrade your lawn seat to include lunch from Whole Foods Market for $10. Please note that tickets will not be available on the day of the event. This event is a fundraiser for the Sacramento SPCA, so your ticket purchase will go towards their efforts to help homeless animals.
