Hulk Hogan is suing the Laser Spine Institute, alleging the surgeries he received were just a ploy to scam him out of money, as reported by the Detroit Celebrity Examiner on Jan. 14. At the time, the Detroit Celebrity Examiner had no contact or comment from LSI regarding the lawsuit.
Hulk is suing Laser Spine Institute for $50 million with claims that his career was damaged. Hogan's spine has undergone multiple surgeries over the years, causing him to miss out on prime wrestling matches. He gave up those matches at the advice of his doctors, which have not healed him.
Hogan has since received help from other doctors that were able to repair his spinal injuries. It is this action that led him to believe LPI was scamming him out of money. In todays TMZ report, it's stated that the $50 million will cover the missed opportunity Hogan had with John Cena at the Battle Royale. They also reported that LSI has yet to comment on the situation.
However, on Jan. 15, Julie Borm from the Laser Spine institute emailed the Detroit Celebrity Examiner directly with this statement:
