Las Vegas Valentine's Day Destinations

Are you looking for something unique to do for Valentine's Day in Vegas?  You have chosen, by choice, or by the fact you live here and have to take a staycation for the holiday, a supreme city to celebrate love in.  There is a variety of things to do here so let your imagination lead the way.  Here are some examples to get your creative date design started.

For the adventurous take a zip line ride above the Fremont Experience Downtown. Even if you live here this is a lifetime experience.  No where else can you sore on a zip line above one of the most famous streets in the world.  This will be the highlight of any extreme sports fan’s date, available to be done dressed up and amidst classy restaurants and Sin City fun.  Just warn your partner that this will be part of the date so they are prepared by dressing warm.

While your downtown make reservations at  Hugo’s Cellar (702-385-4011), one of the best kept secrets of Las Vegas.  The restaurant is very romantically appointed with dim lighting and enough spacing between tables for privacy.  You'll feel like you are expereincing old Vegas in a secret location under the Four Queens, and the coolest part is that you are.

If you want to avoid the tourist areas and have a classic Las Vegas neighborhood experience make reservations at Marche Bacchus (702-804-8008).  This French bistro is located in the neighborhood called the Lakes Summerlin and sets along a man made lake about 20 minutes from the Strip.  They are offering a special Valentine’s dinner both Sunday February 13 and Monday February 14 after 5:30 pm.  If the weather is cooperating ask for a table on the patio overlooking the lake.

For a fun, off the Strip choice for dining, try Cafe Heidelberg (702-731-5310).  This is a Las Vegas relic in a good way.  Behind the fameous Marie Calendars on Sahara (infameous for a high profile mob hit that exploded a car in the parkinglot), this cafe is German adorable, with good food as a bonus.  They are offering a Valentine's Day special that happens to be one of the most economical choices offered for Valentine's Day.  Be sure make reservations as this is a local's favorite.

If your venturing to the Strip there are endless possibilities for an evening out.  Create a sampling of some of the best spots for a full adventure.  Start the evening out with a drink with a view.  Depending on what your plans are, the Eiffel Tower bar, on top of the tower at Paris Hotel, or the Mandarin Oriental Bar, on the 23rd floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel within City Center, have absolutely stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip.

For a fabulous restaurant on the Strip, reserve your spot at the Botero (702-770-3463) at the Encore.  Botero is a sexy restaurant with gorgeous views of the Encore swimming pool.  The dimly lit atmosphere really sets the mood.   Get a table next to the glass to enjoy the best scenery.

For a night cap on the Strip after your fabulous dinner, head to the Parasol Down at the Wynn Hotel (attached to Encore).  This kitchie bar has mini shows on the water every 30 minutes until midnight.  The shows last a song’s length and range from kiddie cute to saucy sexy depending on your interpretation.  Get a table outside next to the water in the lounge.  This is a great way to end your evening out.
