What: Harvest Fest for family fun

When: Saturday, October 19, 2013

Activities will begin at 1:00 pm; food is available from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm

Where: 6050 Doe Avenue near Jones and Oakey Blvd

Who: Friends and neighbors – all are invited

Homemade root beer, BBQ, chili, ice cream, music, best pie contest, best garden scarecrow contest

Provident Community Garden now has vacant beds available in the Phase II section.

A few new larger sections have been added that are being managed by groups or organizations.

There is a chicken coop now with hens laying eggs and fruit trees being planted for future harvests.

Stroll the grounds and see many different styles of irrigation, vegetables, flowers, etc. being used and grown in small raised garden plots.
