The Las Vegas International Film Festival was held this past weekend at the Las Vegas HIlton. There was a good crowd that seemed to enjoy the festivals offerings.
Over the three days of the festival there were several short film blacks, a College of Southern Nevada block, a UNLV block and of course, lots of feature length narratives and documentaries.
There will be reviews of most of the films I saw in my Indie Column. I will also have a report about the producer's panel.
Michael Madsen screened his newest film Vice with a Q&A moderated by actor/director Ash Adams. Madsen then received the INDIE ICON Award. An award that he truly deserved considering that he starred in over 170 films including Reservoir Dogs, Donnie Brasco, Kill Bill and Sin City.
There were parties all over town, filmmakers and actors everywhere you looked and more entertainment than a weekend (even in Vegas) usually offers.
Check the slide show to the right for the opening night red carpet.
