Local horse clubs kick off a very busy March with events all over the valley.
The Nevada State Horsemen’s Association Las Vegas chapter will hold their event on March 13 - 14, Saturday/Sunday in the Flamingo Arena of Horseman’s Park. For entries and horse show information NSHALV
The Southern Nevada Hunter Jumper Association will hold their event on March 11-14, Thursday through Sunday at Horseman‘s Park. Kristin Freeman-Lawry of Ocala, Florida will be the judge. For entries and horse show information SNHJA
The 5th Annual Friends of Metro Mounted Unit Obstacle Competition to be held at Horseman’s Park’s main arena on Saturday, March 27. Start time is 9 a.m. with same day sign up held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. There will also be a horse microchip clinic between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and a LVMPD K-9 Unit demonstration at Noon. Participants and observers may purchase concessions, raffle tickets and Friends of Metro Mounted Unit t-shirts, sweatshirts and jackets. The Las Vegas Silver State Paint Horse Club kicks off their 1st annual schooling show series on Saturday, March 20 at 8 a.m. All Fun Class entry money will be donated to Spirit Therapies here in Las Vegas. Horseman’s Park is located at 5800 East Flamingo Road just east of Sam’s Town. The park is easily accessed off the 95/515, by exiting at the Flamingo exit and heading east. Take Flamingo east past the Boulder Highway and you will find the horse park located at Jimmy Durante Blvd and E Flamingo Road. Family, friends and hunter/jumper fans are always welcome at Horseman’s Park. If you bring your dog to the venue, please remember to have them on a leash at all times.
The Las Vegas Dressage has a very busy March planned. There will be a schooling show on March 6 at the Cooper Ranch in Northwest Las Vegas. There will be a rated show on March 20 - 21 also to be held at the Cooper Ranch. Ending the month is the Kamila DuPont Clinic will be hosted by Linda Phillips at the Phillips Ranch in Southwest Las Vegas on March 27-28.

The Cooper Ranch is located at 6660 Balsam Street near N Tenaya Way and Rome Blvd. The Phillips Ranch is located at 8390 W.
