Easter weekend starts us off on a busy month of horse showing in April.
The Nevada State Horsemen’s Association Las Vegas chapter will hold their event on April 3-4, Saturday/Sunday in the Flamingo Arena of Horseman’s Park. For entries and horse show information NSHALV
The Southern Nevada Hunter Jumper Association will hold their event on April 22-25 with Michael Elmore of Hernandez, New Mexico as judge. Classes are held Thursday through Sunday at Horseman‘s Park. For entries and horse show information SNHJA
Horses4Heroes presents their Red White & Blue Jeans All Community Open Horse Show series. The first show kicks off Saturday, April 10 at 8 a.m. and will be in the main arena at Horseman’s Park. Terry Berg will be the judge and clinician. The show is open to all breeds and all ages of contestants. This will be “On the Rail” English and Western pleasure, Walk-Trot, Leadline, Driving, and Jackpot. A clinic “Winning is a Pleasure” is also part of the day’s agenda. They will be raffling off one ton of alfalfa at each horse show. Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket and all proceeds will go into their Aries Scholarship Fund to help members pay for lessons, class fees, clinics, etc. Contact: Sydney Knott, 702-645-8446 or email Horses4Hereos@gmail.com.
Horseman’s Park is located at 5800 East Flamingo Road just east of Sam’s Town. The park is easily accessed off the 95/515, by exiting at the Flamingo exit and heading east. Take Flamingo east past the Boulder Highway and you will find the horse park located at Jimmy Durante Blvd and E Flamingo Road. Family, friends and hunter/jumper fans are always welcome at Horseman’s Park. If you bring your dog to the venue, please remember to have them on a leash at all times.
The Las Vegas Dressage has a rated show on April 10-11 at the Cooper Ranch in Northwest Las Vegas. The next week follows with the Kamila DuPont Clinic will be hosted by Linda Phillips at the Phillips Ranch in Southwest Las Vegas on April 17-18.
