There are two times when country music reigns in Las Vegas--in December, during the National Finals Rodeo, and in April, during the Academy of Country Music awards week, which is April 1-8, 2013.
The ACM Awards will be held on April 7, 2013 at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Co-hosting the show will be Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan. Luke is new to the job, while Blake has hosted for the past two years with Reba McEntire, who had to step down as host due to her being busy with other projects.
The ACM Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand on CBS, April 7, 2013, starting at 8:00 p.m. ET/delayed PT. Tickets will go on sale on Jan. 25, 2013.
There are several events happening during ACM week, and while not everything has been announced just yet, the big event, other than the show itself, is the ACM Experience, held April 5-7, 2013 at the Orleans Casino.
The ACM Experience is a three-day lifestyle event that features great shopping, tasty cuisine and amazing music. On April 6 and 7, fans holding tickets will be treated to music from some of country's biggest stars and bright newcomers. On Friday, April 5, The Band Perry, Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, and Florida Georgia Line are scheduled to appear, along with some others to be announced later. On Saturday, April 6, Dierks Bentley, Kix Brooks, Eli Young Band, and Hunter Hayes are scheduled to appear, with some more artists to be added soon. On Sunday, April 7, Brad Paisley will host the ACM Fan Jam, which runs concurrently with the ACM Awards show. Some of the performances from the Fan Jam will be broadcast during the ACM Awards show.

On Monday, April 8, the ACM will be taping an all-star concert special, starting at 7:00 p.m. PT, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The show will feature today's hottest acts, and proceeds will benefit the ACM Lifting Lives charity.
