Las Vegas: Disney announces March 5 is the last day to sign up for "Give a Day, Get a Day" program

The American Red Cross Chapter of Southern Nevada made this announcement today on their volunteer blog:

“The Disney Give a Day, Get a Day volunteer program has been overwhelming successful and will soon reach the goal of 1 million volunteer tickets distributed! To ensure that tickets are not over committed Disney has announced to organizations that tomorrow, Friday March 5th will be the last day to for volunteers to register their intent to volunteer for ongoing volunteer projects.”

Anyone wanting to participate in this program should register immediately, as Disney did not give a time that they would deactivate the online registration program. Volunteer service can still be completed anytime within the next 60 days, but registration must be completed by Friday, March 5 at the Disney Parks website.

Please note that if you already a registered volunteer with a participating organization, you may be able to use a day of your regular volunteer work to earn the ticket. After searching by location, there will be sentence at the bottom that states: “Click here for information for HandsOn Network partner organizations you can contact that will have additional qualifying opportunities.”

From there, you should be able to determine if the organization where you volunteer is eligible for this program. Follow the instructions to register your next volunteer shift.

Spread the word and don’t miss out on your opportunity to serve and earn a free day at Disney! Sign up now!
