We've covered it previous: Britney Spears is considering moving to Las Vegas, as well as performing in a Celine Dion-style show there. While originally, it was reported that Caesars was negotiating with her, it's now clear that there is a bidding war for the youthful pop star.
The report, which emerged early Thursday, says there are three Las Vegas properties attempting to sign Britney Spears to a deal as their headliner. It goes further: The report that says that Spears has signed on with Caesars for $200 million over two years is wrong. While no deal has been signed, it's believed that Caesars is in the mix.
The money, though, sounds about right. Celine Dion made about $100 million annually for her show, and Spears could make the same, or more, according to earlier reports.
While there is a bidding war for Spears' services, there may be some negotiation over what those services include. Earlier reports indicated one sticking point was exactly what Britney would do, if anything, in addition to her show.
It was noted that the property -- or properties -- interested in Britney would like her to do some personal appearances, as well. It's unclear if one of the properties removing that requirement might grease the wheels for one of the three bidders.
