Horses4Heroes, Inc. is a Las Vegas-based non-profit organization that is making horseback riding affordable and accessible for the children of the heroes in our community. Local community heroes include police officers, correction officers, fire fighters, military personnel, 911 dispatchers, hospice nurses, special needs teachers, and others. This organization was founded in 2006 and seeks to offer enriching experiences with horses to the children of Las Vegas heroes. The end goal is to develop in these children a lifelong love of horses.

In 2010, Horses4Heroes will focus on four major goals 1) continue to expand their membership of local heroes, 2) add more trainers, instructors and horse boarding facilities into their Las Vegas network, 3) stage successful horse shows in their community, and 4) expand outside of Nevada.

If you are a local hero or volunteer interested in learning more about Horses4Heroes, Inc. visit their website at www.horses4heroes.org or email them at horses4heroes@gmail.com. The organization is currently looking for Western and English horseback riding instructors who are available to work with kids on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Trainers must love working with kids. Additionally, they are looking for individual donors who will sponsor horses. Without sponsored horses there is no program for the kids.
