Larry Bird's son Conner Bird arrested in Indiana

Conner Bird, the son of NBA superstar Larry Bird, was reported to have been arrested at his Bloomington, Indiana apartment following a domestic disturbance involving his girlfriend over the weekend. On Tuesday, Feb. 12 JC Online reported that Conner Bird now faces multiple charges including battery with injury, criminal mischief, intimidation with a deadly weapon and possession of marijuana.

The police report reveals that Conner Bird, and his ex- girlfriend had been arguing on Sunday at Bird's apartment in Indiana, the argument resulted in Conner Bird throwing his cell phone at the woman striking her in the wrist.

The problems later escalated when Conner Bird waited for his ex-at her home and the two went for a drive to attempt to talk over their differences. The argument soon resurfaced and the unnamed female exited Bird's car and began walking home. This is when she alleges that Conner Bird attempted to hit her with his car twice.

Witnesses on the scene came to the female's aid and took her to the Indiana University police Department. Bird was arrested on the Indiana University campus.

"It is a private matter we are hoping to resolve as quickly as possible," said Bird's attorney, John Tompkins. "We are happy no one was seriously hurt."

Conner Bird was taken to the Monroe County Jail following his arrest.
