Largest snowfall is northwest of Chicago

As Chicagoans monitor the storm, reports from WGN's Chicago Weather Center show that snowfall accumulations are the greatest in Northwest Illinois with 5.0 inches reported in Galena at 2 p.m. and 3.5 inches at Rockford.

An additional storm system out east is causing winter snow warnings and advisories. A total of 15 states have been effected by the two storms. In Chicago, a total of 4 to 8 inches is expected. The Winter Storm Warning for the Chicago area extends through 9 a.m. tomorrow morning.
