Christopher Dorner, the ex-LAPD officer who went on a shooting rampage, is still at large, but Charlie Sheen wants to talk Dorner into ending "this thing." According to TMZ on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, Sheen made a video recording sending a plea out to Dorner asking him to call him to “talk things out.”
Dorner’s manifesto contained names of certain celebrities, including Sheen. It sounds as if Sheen may be one of his idols, as he wrote about the former “Two and a Half Men” star, "Charlie Sheen, you’re effin awesome."

Now Sheen is taking advantage of the infatuation that Dorner appears to have for him and he is hoping that the man, who is the object of the biggest manhunt in L.A.’s history, will give him a call.
The message to Dorner was recorded by Sheen yesterday. It was right to the point with the controversial actor sounding genuine while thanking Dorner for his kind words.
Sheen said in the video:
"You mentioned me in your manifesto, so thank you for your kind words. I am urging you to call me. Let's figure out together how to end this thing."
According to TMZ, Sheen wants to do his part to bring the man who allegedly killed three people and made threats to kill many more, into custody. Dorner is the suspect wanted in three ambushes with all the people involved having ties to the LAPD. He is wanted in the killing of a young woman and her fiancé, the woman was the daughter of an LAPD captain that Dorner knew.
Then the ex-cop shot at two LAPD cops on a security detail, injuring one of them. His last attack was on two LAPD officers, who were on routine patrol. When they stopped at a red light, Dorner started shooting, killing one of the officers and injuring the other.
The manifesto that Dorner posted to his Facebook page warned that he would hunt down and kill LAPD officers and their families. He also warned that there is nowhere to hide from him. He taunted he would get them no matter where they might be, anywhere that their daily routine took them.
This has the LAPD on high alert. It is bad enough that Dorner has targeted his former fellow officers, but to threaten to go after their family members has to be causing much anxiety to all LAPD and their families.
