For the 16th year Lansing’s Old Town will be hosting the summer JazzFest. Starting at 4pm on Friday, August 6 and ending Saturday, August 7, 2010 12:30am you can enjoy some of the top jazz music performers from around the Lansing area and the country.
A few of the performers who will be gracing Lansing Old Town are Andrew Kratzat Quartet, Derrick Gardner and the Jazz Prophets, and Joe Baione you can find a complete up to date list of performers scheduled this year at the JazzFest web site. Each performer has been asked to perform at least one original piece that has not been played at any other festival. To be part of history in the making you will want to drop by Old Town during this annual Lansing event.
The Lansing JazzFest welcomes about 15,000 visitors each year to enjoy the free live music along with the unique and fun features of Old Town. Unique antique architecture of the buildings to the art galleries and fine dinning there is much more to offer than the free jazz concerts. Visitors to the 2010 Old Town JazzFest will also be able to enjoy a wonderful variety of vendors along the city streets such as ethnic foods, crafts, and art.
